Well we see the PNY Attache doesn’t perform very well, or at least it looks that way with this test. I’ve put the PNY Attache up against a few others I’ve got on hand, the OCZ Rally2 4gb, Corsair Flash Voyager mini 4gb, Sandisk Cruzer Enterprise 2gb and a Super Talent drive as well.įor testing of course I use my two favorite programs for this type of product, SiSoft Sandra 2009 SP2 and DiskBench.įirst up we’ve got SiSoft Sandra Removable Storage Benchmark, I’ve ranked them from lowest to highest. So it’s a rather high capacity USB drive that we know, but what we want to know is how it performs and that’s what I aim to find out.

Want to share a new song, pictures, or video with your friends? Simply copy the file onto Attaché and take it with you - put it in your pocket, wear it, put it in your backpack or briefcase and you’re good to go. "Attaché provides the ultimate mobile storage solution for people on the go. The cap comes off as with most any other USB drive out there, there’s nothing else included in the package with the Attache either. The Attache is primarily black plastic with a red transparent or translucent accent on it. The PNY Attache comes in the familiar plastic clamshell style package, you can see the drive through the front, and there’s specs and features listed on the back of the package.

No video today, it’s just a USB drive after all, not much special or entertaining about it, but it’s still a good, handy little product. So read on to learn how the PNY Attaché fairs against some others I’ve got on hand. It’s a very small drive especially considering it’s size, it seems well made as well, but quality and size aren’t much without performance to back it up.

Today I’ve got a 16gb USB drive from PNY for review, it’s called the Attaché. It seems they are advancing at an exponential rate, only a couple years ago we were excited about 64MB USB drives, now we can 64gb USB drives, the sizes now could make other storage media obsolete in a short period of time. it just tells me somehting about their quality when the support people think this way about their own stuff.USB drives are and have always been one of my favorite tech gadgets, they’re just extremely useful. like he thought all of there stuff was junk too. i have never heard of support act just this way. it was like they expected it to be defective. what a friding JOKE> I would never buy any PNY devices again.!!!! Another think that concerned me is how they reacted to the problem. That person would never return my emails. when i was told to use the seller i emailed back that i had previously requested to go through PNY and why. This was after being asked if i wanted to use the seller or replace it direct with PNY.

!!! UPDATE - PNY Support was friendly and helpful but during the communications to replace the defective usb drive and filling out a bunch of paperwork they requested i ended up getting an email saying that they would not replace it and that i would have to go through the seller. this stuff always happens to someone else. i talked to PNY support and found out it was a common problem. after hours of forum research and reg edits etc. Overall Review: plugged it into my system and started an xcopy and within 10mins it stopped copying and said the drive was write protected. they even have an online form to fill out to get a replacement.

After calling PNY support i get the feeling this is common. not quick at all.Ĭons: Died within mins of use. of course they said it would be a long wait. wasnt surprised at all about the problem. Pros: Customer support at PNY was good and EZ.
